I'm getting this error message:

Conversion from string "area=H20" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

on this:

How do I convert area?  It's varchar(3) in the database

       If Pending.SelectedValue = "300" Then
            Response.Redirect("pendinginAreas300.aspx?doc=" & Request.QueryString("doc") & "&"("area=" & Request.QueryString("area")))
        End If

It was referring to area.  I didn't have enough & in the string. I got it to work.

 Response.Redirect("pendinginAreas.aspx?doc=" & Request.QueryString("doc") & "&" & "area=" & Request.QueryString("area"))
