microsoft sql server error 18456 in sql server 2008 r2 login failed for user sa sql server was working properly i just restarted the system and then i started getting the above error how do i resolve it i am able to login with windows authentication but not sql authentication

Somehow either the password has changed or reset. Or it may be possible that Mixed Mode Authentication might be disabled.

So try setting it again and also change password for sa
